SHILOH 2009 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Saturday, May 9th, 2009
January 26th, 2012
Everyone is invited to come to
our Sunday, Feb 19th ‘Fat Tuesday’ Potluck lunch after worship service and enjoy great food (including some special New Orleans dishes) and King Cake (that’s the Mardi Gras part) as we celebrate and eat up all the goodies before Lent begins on Wednesday.
HELp! Shiloh youth groups
The Shiloh Youth Groups are seeking donations from the Congregation to enable them to buy a larger screen TV. Many of our ministry resources now only come as DVDs and our existing TVs (which we have deeply appreciated) are too small for our combined groups to watch together
As a thank you, all contributors are invited to a celebratory Saturday Night at the Movies where the youth will treat you to a showing of Amazing Grace, the award winning film of Wilberforce’s campaign to eliminate slavery in England and the power of his Christian faith in doing this. We’ll also have a ‘build your own customized popcorn’ stand and drinks for your enjoyment.
Watch the mail for your invitation to this event.
Celebrate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with the traditional palms that will become your cross as we turn toward Good Friday.
All ages will enjoy the Last Supper traditional Seder meal together, as we remember God’s mighty deliverance and celebrate communion as Jesus did that night with his disciples.
A Tenebrae service (which means “shadows”)in which candlelight and shadows combine with readings and special music in a powerful meditation on the last week in Jesus’ life.
“In The Garden”
Welcome Resurrection Day as we experience it “In the Garden” through music, prayer, Scripture and celebration. Then join us for breakfast prepared by the Saturday Men’s Group .
Christ the Lord is Risen Today
Celebrate with us this mighty triumph of our faith!

Sunday, December 14, 6:00 p.m.
For many of us, Christmas is a bittersweet time of year. It is a time for remembering both persons and events that have been a part of our lives in the past, but that are now changed or gone. This is the time of year with the longest nights, so around this time we offer a quiet, meditative worship service that makes time for remembering, sharing our hurting places with God, and preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ. Join us on Sunday, December 14, at 6:00 pm, for a time of special music, scripture, stories, silent reflection and healing prayer. Please come and offer to accompany someone for whom rejoicing is just hard work this year. Please call Pastor Susan if you have any questions about this service or if you would like her to invite someone.
Worship Remembering Those We Miss At Christmas
You won’t want to miss a time of thanksgiving for all god’s Good Gifts we have received this year as we celebrate the Thanksgiving season at Shiloh. Service at 11 will be a time of Special music and sharing about God’s goodness to us all. Afterwards, there’s a wonderful thanksgiving meal for all to share.
This is a wonderful time to invite visiting family, friends and neighbors to join us.
