The Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children and Youth will host its Annual Day Celebration, Auction and barbeque lunch, Saturday, September 13th in Versailles, Ky. Youth Group News

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

This summer the Shiloh Youth worked alongside Union UMC (Delaware) on a mission site in Louisville. We returned to Christian Care Communities where we had worked last summer. It was wonderful to renew old acquaintances and make new friends both with the residents and the Union folks. I had 5 Youth join me for a week of hard work, creating relationships, and seeing first hand what God can do when we join Him in His work. I can’t tell you what a blessing it was to work alongside our Youth and watch them love people in the name of Jesus Christ. They represented both Shiloh Church and Jesus Christ beautifully. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. It is a blessing to be in ministry with you.

In Him,

Sherry

Change

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Dear Shiloh Family,

It is not easy to say goodbye even though we have all known for a little over a month that Bev and I will be moving, and I will begin a new ministry at Epworth United Methodist Church on June 29th. While we are very excited about this new ministry and the opportunity to serve with the people of Epworth, we are also sad to be leaving all of you. The other difficult thing about writing a farewell note is that I want to tell you all of the truly wonderful things about Shiloh Church, and there just isn’t space to say it all. Hopefully, you have heard me tell you again and again how wonderful you are, and hopefully you have been encouraged in some small way to continue living into the amazing call God has on all of our lives.

It has been a great blessing for me to serve along side you as your pastor. You are a truly gifted group of people who are as deeply committed to helping people grow in their relationship with God and with each other as any people I have had the privilege of serving. You continually reach out to people who need to have a connection to God and the Church, and you are as generous in your outreach and sharing as you are in your love for one another.

You have blessed our lives in so many ways. We will miss you greatly, and we will remember you often in our prayers. Thank you for being such a blessing to the kingdom of God.

Pastor Gary, and Bev
