Come and celebrate the beginning of Holy Week as we receive palms in remembrance of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Our choir will be performing the Easter Cantata

“Jesus, The One and Only”.

This is a wonderful service to invite our friends and neighbors to as we encourage everyone to enter into Easter worship for the entire week and not just Easter morning.

Maundy Thursday Meal:

The Cups of Salvation

Thursday April 21st at 7:00pmimage

Everyone is invited to a meal in remembrance of Jesus’ last meal with his disciples. It will be a time of shared food in which we experience that  evening as a time when Jesus transformed the Passover Exodus from Egypt into an Exodus from the wilderness of brokenness for all of us.

Come and taste and see the goodness of God as it was lived out that night when Jesus came to dinner.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

March 9th at 7:00 pm

Worship, music & imposition of ashes

Join us each Sunday in Lent as we “Lift High the Cross” and explore, through worship and drama, the conversations we might have ‘overheard’ had we been there imagewhen Jesus gave Himself up for us. Pilate’s wife questions Pilate about her vision and his actions. Mark, who fled naked from Gethsemane, meets the man whose ear was healed by Jesus. Mary, the mother of Jesus, speaks to John, her new ‘son’.

For these 40 days we will make the journey from life to death to life everlasting.

Approve the Things that are Excellent

Friday, February 11th, 2011

Our sermon series for the Sundays between now and the beginning of Lent, March 9th, will take us into the letter of Paul to the church at Philippi. He wrote a church with much in common with us, even though we worship the same Lord 2000 years later. We will read the letter together, just as it was read the first time.image

We will share a chapter each week as we hear Paul speak to the eternally twinned impulses of our lives: love and fear. So we are literally on the same page, be sure to pick up your copy of Philippians as you come to worship this Sunday. It’s not your ‘real’ Bible, so you can feel to underline, jot down questions and engage Paul’s words for us today.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.   Philippians 1:6

Sermon Series

Saturday, January 1st, 2011

Our beginnimageing sermon series for 2011 is an exploration of how God acts in all the parts of our lives, even those that are not spent in church, hospital or cemetery. As Christians, we know that God’s promises through Jesus Christ carry us through suffering and death. But what about Mondays?

What about staff meetings? What about our older age?
