New Small Group Study Starting 4/30/2010

Monday, March 29th, 2010

We will be starting a new study on Tuesday evenings and have decided to read “Run with the Horses” by Eugene Peterson(translator of The Message Bible). Peterson is an author, seminary professor and pastor. Wonderful writer!
“Run with the Horses” uses the story of Jeremiah, in the Old Testament, to help us to ponder living life at its best. Peterson asks, “We all long to live life at its best-to fuse freedom and spontaneity with purpose and meaning. Why then do we often find our lives so humdrum, so unadventuresome, so routine? Or else so frantic, so full of activity, but still devoid of fulfillment? How do we learn to risk, to trust, to pursue wholeness and excellence — to run with the horses in the midst of life?”
