Youth Mission

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

What:  Shiloh Youth will be working with EDGE  Outreach on Saturday, Feb 27th and we would love to have any and all members of the church join us.  Our day will start at 9am and be finished by 5pm.

Where: Our plan is to help St Peter’s Church in downtown Louisville serve breakfast to the homeless in the morning and then to work at a daycare center on 41st Street for the remainder of the day.

More info:  The exact details of our actual day are being worked out but we will keep you posted as we get closer. The only part of the plan for the day that we are absolutely sure of is that we will spend the day loving God and loving people!

To do:  Join us!   You will be blessed as you are blessing others! See Sherry Parker for more info.

Weekend Youth Mission Trip

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Our Youth leaders are planning a Friday-Saturday Youth work mission trip through our friends at EDGE in Louisville for one of the weekends in October. This would be a great time for our middle school and high schoolers, as well as their parents, to join in a time of work and fun and prayer as we become the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.

  • Watch for details in September.

This summer the Shiloh Youth worked alongside Union UMC (Delaware) on a mission site in Louisville. We returned to Christian Care Communities where we had worked last summer. It was wonderful to renew old acquaintances and make new friends both with the residents and the Union folks. I had 5 Youth join me for a week of hard work, creating relationships, and seeing first hand what God can do when we join Him in His work. I can’t tell you what a blessing it was to work alongside our Youth and watch them love people in the name of Jesus Christ. They represented both Shiloh Church and Jesus Christ beautifully. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. It is a blessing to be in ministry with you.

    In Him,

    Sherry

Shiloh & Breath of Life join forces!

    Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Shiloh Youth will travel to Breath of Life UMC the first Wednesday of each month to join in their youth ministry program. This will be a great opportunity for Shiloh youth to share their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ and be involved in a mission field outside of Oldham County. We are so excited about this opportunity, that God has provided, for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
